The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Belgium-Luxembourg-Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (CBL-ACP)

Activities

  • Providing assistance to Belgian, Luxembourg and ACP businessmen (economic aspects, commercial information) together with the help of the offices of the Chamber located in about 20 African countries.
  • Organisation of events (conference-luncheons/dinners, round tables, seminars,…) in honour of European VIPs or on the occasion of visits to Belgium of VIPs and/or commercial delegations of ACP countries.
  • Organisation of workshops discussing up-to-date subjects (financial, co-operation with NGO’s, regional economic unions) where specific questions are treated.
  • Organisation of trade missions to African, Caribbean, Pacific countries.
  • Cooperation with the various Belgian Foreign Trade Offices (Foreign Trade Agency, FIT, Brussels Export, Awex).
  • Publication of a monthly bulletin (urgent news, business proposals, tenders, projects,…) as well as of a quarterly magazine and a commercial directory every two years.
  • Participation to the action of the European Business Council for Africa & the Mediterranean ‘EBCAM’.

Objectives
The objectives of CBL-ACP are:

  • the development of the relations with Belgium-Luxembourg and the African, Caribbean and the Pacific Countries in the field of industrial, commercial, agricultural and cultural exchanges;
  • the assistance to all those, in Belgium and Luxembourg, who are interested in African, Caribbean and Pacific countries and vice-versa.
