Brief Description of expertise/action ; commercial relationship

The study centres on the lives, practices and views of the actors at the lowest level of the heterogenite commodity chain; it intends to carry out an anthropological analysis of the influences and effects of certain macro-level events, processes and decisions on the livelihoods of these people

Main objectives; expected results

This approach will help to shed more light on the ways in which individual Katangese – coming from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds – are establishing a remote connection to the global economy in an attempt to cope with concrete challenges posed by the transition from war to peace
